African drums

I love my job at times. Today I spent time learning to play an African drum, it was great fun and everyone should have a go, although my hands did get very sore after a while, it was also very therapeutic, whish I'd had one the other week.
I also learnt how to dance funky street style or whatever it was called, which again was great fun, but at times I had every limb in the wrong place, just hope the pictures aren't going to end up in the civic like the bollywood ones.

blackberries and knitting

well I havent posted for a while, this was the week where everything did finaly hit home. However on a lighter note, I have started knitting, and not just a started and then got annoyed with it and froged it. When it is finished I will show pictures.
The blackberries in the woods are starting to ripen so soon I will have lots of blackberries to eat and cook with. I'm planning on trying to make the chuchny that was mentioned on womens hour, as well as the usual jellys and cobblers.

A new chair has also appeard in the woods, I know the picture is bad but the sun was shining on the screan so i had no idea what i was taking.

the baby trees

When you go down to the woods today...

Well I had trouble trying to add the pictures yesterday and this morning so I will add them later
but in the woods yesterday I found a chair it had been carved from one of the burnt trees but it was really cool, unfortunately I did not have time for a long walk, so next time I have time for a decent long walk I hope to find some more.
with the last few days rain the black burnt bits are also starting to become green again, I even found two baby trees only about 10cm tall, they where so cute and ickle, its hard to imagine them as great big trees.

to get some peace, I have been taking the dog for a walk. although today she refused (to much rain). so as no walk i thought i would shair some pictures of the state of the wood.
when I first moved back it was quiet a shock (although suited my state of mind at the time) . I have walked dogs and draged friends round these woods for many a year, and never seen them like this.
There are several patches that are this bad and in other places you wouldnt even realise.

on a lighter note my neice has leant how to work the walkmen on my phone and is now dancing around to the clash. unfortunatly carn"t show pictures as she has my phone which is also my camera.

1st post

Well I have finally organised my self into starting a blog, mainly as everyone has one, and now I have one I not sure what to say.
I am presently enjoying the peace and quiet of a normally very busy house, and putting off paperwork.
I am also trying to get the comp to talk to my phone so I can move pictures of it but they don't seem to like each other,
